REPERTOIRE

IMSLP

International Music Score Library Project.  Created in 2007, IMSLP currently houses over sixty-seven thousand works, two hundred and thirty thousand scores, and over twenty thousand recordings. After years of litigious battles, IMSLP strives to only provide PDF scores of copyright-free (public domain) sheet music and recordings, so nearly all content is pre-1923. Materials are mostly Western music-based, though it appears that more and more “world music” (specifically Asian) is being added. Numerous recordings, arrangements, and midi files are available to supplement works. The site now allows searches by composer, nationality, time period, and instrumentation. Discussion forums and live chat rooms are also available to IMSLP users.
